Dozens, if not hundreds, of cormorants skimmed the waves during our recent trip, but few got close enough for good IDs. I was happy, therefore, to get better looks at these two Pelagic Cormorants, IDed by their thin long necks, flat heads, and total lack of color on the face. Brandt’s and Double-crested were the other two cormorant species in the area.
